These names and corny ones like Knot on Duty, are popular seagoing names according to a popular boating website but they all have one thing in common - they should be changed.

Trouble is renaming anything from a dinghy to a dreadnaught apparently risks offending the trident-wielding sea god Neptune, also Poseidon, with all the dire connotations of shipwrecks and sinking that can conjure up.

However the seagods can be placated if a strictly observed ritual is observed for the renaming.
